Sister's birthday

So every year I make a cake, and every year it doesn't quite turn out so great. I am just one of those people who can't wait and put the frosting on while the cake is still warm, Then after ten minutes it turns to slop XDD But this year I was not meant to fail! I made her a strawberry cake, lots and lots of strawberries muahahahahahaha.

it's pink :D

out of the the pan

crumb layer of frosting

second layer

tada!

came out okay ^^

Well actually, while the strawberries got baked they also turned kind've sour, also the frosting was awfully sweet. Sister said it counteracted each other and that it was okay. She is probably lying but oh well. She still ate it. I am still proud of it too :3

Animazement - cosplay

An anime convention that appears for three days once a year. Although I am no otaku I like to occasionally enjoy some shows and it's weird because sometimes I learn something.

So last year was my first time, I was a total n00b, and went as a typical school girl. The time people started coming I was in shock with their costumes. It was absolutely mind blowing how fantastic some costumes were!

But then you wonder...

How much did this fool spend to make this?

One of my friends who goes all out for this event spent $300. WHAT THE FUCK LA?! That is insane!! Even though she flawlessly pulled it off, some days before Animazement she would tell me how she needed like ten cans of spray paint.

"Oh shit I ran out of spray paint"

"How do I balance this piece off the ground for it to dry?"

"Gawd dammit it fell while drying!"

So I kind've want to not spend a lot of money on this, after all this is a one time event. Maybe two if I use it for Halloween?

So I came up with three low budget ideas:

1. Tifa Lockhart

2. Pikachu

3. Mudkip

I am leaning towards more Pikachu. I think it would suit me best, not to mention my last name is Chu so I grew up with the nickname Pikachu since childhood. I thought Tifa would be cool because it's simplistic but also really hawt. Today I did my make up slightly different and a friend said it resembled Mudkip.

Not really sure yet, but my goal is to look hawt while having fun.

Easter

In my family the tradition of Easter kind've died as I grew up. I remember back in the day my parents had no participation besides buying the chocolate and my sister was the one who played the whole hunting adventure with me. I understand now because in my Chinese tradition you have to worship the dead. Weird, but okay. This year Easter came as a surprise to me and I got to relive my childhood memory. All thanks to my godparents Nanci and Sonny.

Nanci looks funny :D

I couldn't get a picture of Sonny and the reason is because he was just all over the place. Apparently he was making ridiculous floral sun hats for everyone to wear for the Easter egg hunt. Some were absolutely hilarious.

we look stupid

Ari my easter egg hunt partner!

my findings :]

Ari and I found twelve eggs total which placed us in second. First place was eighteen eggs. But whatever. The next even however I did not expect. Sonny also made the ridiculous sun hats for us to model. HUH!? I had no idea but I just strut my stuff. And didn't win! w00t!

Ari and my sister's boyfriend won o.o

To end the day Nanci made a giant coconut lemon cake? No idea, but it was good, despite the coconut part, yuck. Had so much fun, being a kid again.

Happy Easter!

Michelle

Michelle is a related to me somehow I really don't know, but she has to call me her aunt out of respect so I just call her my niece. Not sure on how that worked out but whatever. I remember Michelle ever since she was pretty young, and she was quite nice, quiet, and not annoying. As she grew up she turned into an absolute brat. I have no idea how she came to be this way. Michelle makes fun of other people, her cousin, and even tries to pull pranks on her parents, even my mother. One time she wrote "kick me" and taped it to the back of my mother's back. What a little devil. Always "whatever" to things. I hadn't seen her a while till a few days ago when I went to my relative's tailor store.

silly mother

he didn't want his picture taken :P

so many colors!

and here is the brat

Honestly, I don't like kids in the first place, but I had to amuse her somehow. So we went to Target and while we were walking around she was quite talkative. Just giving her own opinions on things and how she likes making fun of people. We went over various things but I still feel like I didn't know her. Didn't really care all too much either. Just snapped pictures at her when she didn't even notice.

messy hair XD

oh how adorable!

We got really bored and headed back to the shop. It was gawd awfully boring there too. I feel really bad for her because she has to stay there a lot. All she can do is play on her PSP or possible walk through a store or something nearby, and nothing really fun was close. Poor girl. She doesn't talk a lot to her parents either. I figure that's why she was talkative with me. Anyway, we went outside and she made me walk up and down this hill with her six times. Crazy girl. It happened to be over four miles of walking. Back to the shop we went. After so long she still had one of my favorite coloring books, yes people, I still like to color.

nyahh

dropped a crayon

she put a rainbow headband on me @_@

finished :D

Dreadfully bored I still had an okay time talking to her. I can't wait for her to grow up. Not quite sure what she's going through but please I hope it'll pass by soon! Many many times I wanted to just push her over and leave her crying because she is soooo annoying >.> Oh well, maybe she'll change next time.
